A true water garden is one with a pond reservoir that allows for larger aquatic plants that need to be submerged in addition to koi and goldfish.

 

A Swan’s water feature follows a 3 shelf method where shelves are dug at 8”, 16”, and 24”. The first shelf is for marginal plants to help soften the hard, rocky edges of the pond. The second holsters our filtration system and is perfect depth for aquatic lilies. The deepest shelf is for overwintering fish and contains an aeration system for maximum oxygen and minimal stagnation.
